Suncamp winner 2026 Vacation Awards in the ‘camping holidays’ category

The winners of the 2026 Vacation Awards were announced on Saturday, 31 January 2026. This took place during the Travel Gala of TravMagazine. Suncamp was chosen winner in the ‘camping holiday’ category for the fourth year in a row. Professionals in the travel industry cast their votes via TravMagazine’s website. The winners of the Awards in various travel categories were able to receive their prize during the Travel Gala in the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk.

The manager of Touroperating, Pieter Melieste, was overjoyed with the victory. ‘Suncamp represents a selection of about 400 top campsites in Europe. Quality is of paramount importance to us. We do not want to be the biggest but, through our unique services such as our WhatsApp service and the CampingGuru, we want to offer the best service possible and, apparently, that is viewed as something positive in the travel industry as well.’

Dynamic start

Winning a Vacation Award is in keeping with a very dynamic start to the 2026 holiday season. Suncamp has noticed that camping holidays have once again become popular. Campsite visitors seem to realise this as well. Booking are made early and, again, there seems to be little available for those who book at the last-minute.
